history lesson
Mood:  lazy
History lesson....once upon a time, there was a happily married couple that wanted to make babies. After months, nay, years of unsuccessful "natural" attempts, they ventured into the world of Infertility Medicine. Several more months and years of various painful and expensive treatments followed with the end result being ZIP, Nada. Enter into the Adoption World. More expensive, gut wrenching decisions, rollercoaster-like emotions, and the neverending waiting game. Finally, out of the void, we got a call from DFS about a sibling group. An 18 month old boy and his 10 day old sister. Would we be interested? SUREEEEEEE we said, not having the slightest idea how much our lives were about to change shortly....and so the story with DFS and the siblings begins.

Day 1
Mood:  down
Now Playing: in the beginning...
Today was another day full of futile frustrations. Does anyone but me realize what morons DFS staffers are? Or perhaps they are just too burned out to care about the familys and childrens lives they are impacting. It's been 7 weeks now and we've yet to even see the face of this child we are so hopeful of bringing into our home with the other siblings. How many iiiiiii's and ttttttt's must be dealt with before this can move forward?????
